This passage examines the poetic articulation of heroism and patriotism in Hamid Olimjon’s lyric poetry—motifs such as the call to struggle, the safeguarding of the people and the homeland, courage, and self-sacrifice. It argues that these motifs function not merely as socio-political slogans but as an aesthetically organized system rooted in deep layers of national poetic consciousness. Special attention is given to the organic synthesis of classical Eastern literary traditions (aruz prosody; the elevated tone of the ghazal and qasida; symbolic imagery; and the conventions of praise and rhetorical address) with oral folk culture (heroic epics; lullaby-prayers and blessings; elegiac lament (marsiya); and guiding or instructive songs). Within this framework, the concept of “homeland” emerges as a coherent poetic category that simultaneously operates as a historical-cultural value (native soil, the honor of the people) and a moral-ethical obligation (duty, loyalty, and readiness for courageous action). Drawing on Naim Karimov’s observations, the discussion highlights how the “ideal of freedom” and “love for the homeland and the people” appear as central inspirational forces shaping Olimjon’s life and artistic worldview.
