This article examines the contextual and pragmatic aspects of religious phraseological units used in English and Uzbek religious discourse. The study focuses on the functional and communicative roles of religious phraseologisms in real speech situations and their close connection with cultural and religious contexts. Although religious phraseological units demonstrate semantic stability, they acquire pragmatic meanings depending on the communicative situation, which is illustrated through authentic examples. A comparative analysis of English and Uzbek data reveals the pragmatic functions of religious phraseologisms, including their role in speech acts, emotional expression, and moral influence within religious discourse. The findings of the research contribute to discourse studies, translation theory, and intercultural communication.
