Annotatsiya

This article presents a linguocultural comparative analysis of idiomatic expressions that represent emotional states in the English and Uzbek languages. The study examines idioms expressing various emotions from the perspectives of semantic structure, imagery, and national-cultural specificity. The analysis demonstrates that idiomatic expressions in both languages are closely connected with the mentality of the people, their historical experience, and cultural values. Furthermore, similarities and differences in the pragmatic use of emotional idioms in English and Uzbek are identified, highlighting their functional role in communicative contexts. The findings of the research contribute to comparative linguistics, translation studies, and intercultural communication, providing both theoretical and practical insights.
