The article examines the semantic and pragmatic features of emotional-evaluative phraseological units in Spanish and Uzbek from a comparative perspective. Classifications of phraseological units, their emotional-evaluative potential, and communicative functions are analyzed. Universal and language-specific features of the phraseological systems of the languages under study are revealed.
