This article investigates coordinated components within sentence structure. Special attention is paid to the syntactic nature of coordinated relations. The functional differences between coordination and other syntactic relations are analyzed. Coordinated components are shown to be syntactically equal regardless of their position in a sentence. Particular emphasis is placed on attributive coordinated elements functioning as dependent components. Examples from English and Uzbek languages are comparatively analyzed. The syntactic-semantic features of dependent coordinated components are identified. In English, coordinated elements are mainly expressed through conjunctions. In Uzbek, dependent coordinated components are often linked by commas in written speech.
