This article reviews studies on social network language in global linguistics. The problem is defined as the evolution of digital communication language and its place in linguistic science. The relevance of the study is linked to the growing importance of social media data in contemporary linguistics. The methodology includes bibliometric analysis, a literature review, and empirical examples. The results highlight trends in global research, theoretical approaches, and methodological frameworks. The author’s scientific contribution lies in proposing local approaches through a comparative analysis of global studies in the context of Uzbek linguistics.
