The study focuses on idioms, fixed expressions, metaphorical constructions, and culturally loaded phrases that describe hearing, attentive listening, misunderstanding, selective perception, and pragmatic reactions. The comparative analysis reveals semantic similarities and differences, pragmatic functions, communicative implications, and cultural factors influencing the formation and use of these phraseological units.
