Annotatsiya

This article analyzes, from a linguistic point of view, the semantic differences of diagnostic terms in scientific and clinical discourse. In scientific discourse, diagnostic terms possess precise meanings, accuracy, and standardized terminological forms, whereas in clinical discourse they are more often used in contextual, metaphorical, and abbreviated forms. The study compares the formal, semantic, and functional-stylistic features of these terms. Diagnostic terms play an important role as a means of accurately conveying information in the process of medical communication. In addition, the article examines certain semantic differences between diagnostic terms in Uzbek and English languages.
