The article analyzes the relationship between anti-corruption efforts and the protection of human rights within the framework of international law, as well as the treatment of corruption and human rights issues in the United Nations Convention against Corruption and international human rights treaties. It also argues that, despite the conceptual complexity of a human rights-based approach to combating corruption, this approach offers significant practical and normative advantages over purely criminal law or administrative approaches.
