This article presents a scientific analysis, conducted in accordance with the IMRAD methodology, of the decisive battle that took place on April 15, 1395, between Amir Temur and Tokhtamysh, Khan of the Golden Horde, on the banks of the Terek River. The study examines the structure of the “seven wings” military strategy, the distribution of tasks among commanders, and the historical and political consequences of the battle. The analysis of sources shows that Temur’s victory was associated not only with his personal military capability but also with a tactical system based on the principle of delegation of authority, as well as with the courage and professionalism of the allied amirs.
