Annotatsiya

The 18th and 19th centuries were marked by significant transformations in Central Asia. The Khanates of Khiva and Kokand, as two influential states, played pivotal roles in the region's political and economic landscape. This period witnessed both cooperation and rivalry between the two khanates, influenced by their aspirations for territorial expansion, control over trade routes, and the impact of neighboring powers such as Russia, Persia, and the Qing Empire. The unique feature of historical sources related to the Khiva Khanate is that most of them are written in the Old Uzbek language, while the majority of such works in the Bukhara and Kokand Khanates were written in Persian. Numerous sources on the history of the Khiva Khanate have been written, and some of them have been analyzed by researchers.
