The article analyzes the scientific and social significance of museums using the example of the “Kokand” State Museum-Reserve, including the Khudayar Khan Palace. The paper highlights the historical stages of the museum-reserve’s formation, the dynamics of its collections, scientific and source-based research, cultural and educational activities, and its role in the spiritual and economic life of society. The study confirms that the museum-reserve is not merely a venue for preserving historical monuments, but a multifunctional scientific and educational center that serves the intellectual and social development of society.
