Annotatsiya

The article examines the specific features of India’s foreign policy and defense doctrine within the regional strategic triangle of “New Delhi—Beijing—Islamabad.” The author analyzes the mechanisms of hard and soft balancing used by India to neutralize simultaneous threats from China and Pakistan. Special attention is paid to the concept of a “two-front war” and the strategic partnership between Beijing and Islamabad, particularly the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor. The article also considers the modernization of India’s nuclear triad, the strengthening of high-altitude borders as a form of internal balancing, and diplomatic risk hedging as a form of external balancing.
