In this article the semantic structure of action and state verbs is analyzed which used in Alisher Navoi’s manokib works through the lens of key semantic concepts such as historical unique lexic (shared semantic component), integral notion of words (unifying feature), and differential features (distinguishing feature), with the support of relevant examples. Furthermore, it explores the semantic structure of these verbs in Old Uzbek literary language and discusses phenomena of semantic expansion and narrowing as observed in comparison with their usage in modern Uzbek literary language.
