Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the heterogeneous structure of biotechnology terms based on its multidisciplinary foundation. As biotechnology intersects with sciences such as biology, chemistry, medicine, genetics, engineering, and information technology, it incorporates terms borrowed from these fields, resulting in a complex and layered terminological system. The study employs S.G. Kazarina's classification to categorize term formation, viewing biotechnology terminology as a heterogeneous model derived from various lexical sources. Using specific examples, the article demonstrates how basic terms undergo semantic changes across different scientific fields. The research findings emphasize the need for a unified and precise terminology to ensure effective communication in scientific and industrial domains. It has been determined that biology, chemistry, and medicine exert the greatest influence on the formation of biotechnology terms in the English language.
