The growing importance of English as a global language has encouraged many countries to introduce English language instruction at the preschool level. This study examines the importance of early English language learning in preschool education and its potential benefits for young learners. A qualitative research design based on document analysis and literature review was employed. Academic books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and research reports related to language acquisition, bilingualism, and early childhood education were systematically reviewed and analyzed. The findings indicate that early exposure to English supports the development of pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening skills due to children's high level of brain plasticity during early childhood. The literature also suggests that early language learning may contribute to cognitive development by improving attention, memory, and problem-solving abilities. Furthermore, play-based activities such as songs, games, and storytelling help increase motivation, confidence, and positive attitudes toward language learning. However, the effectiveness of preschool English programs largely depends on instructional quality, teacher competence, and the availability of age-appropriate learning materials. The study concludes that early English language learning can significantly contribute to children's linguistic, cognitive, and social development when implemented through child-centered and developmentally appropriate approaches. Therefore, high-quality preschool English programs should be promoted to support children's future academic success and participation in a globalized world.
