Annotatsiya

Developing the education system of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan is a priority of national policy. From the earliest days of independence, large-scale measures have been implemented to fundamentally reform the education sector and align it with national interests and international standards. Radical changes in the education system began in 1997 with the adoption of the Law on Education and the National Program for Personnel Training. These documents established the legal and conceptual framework for developing human capital, ensuring the continuity of education, and forming a competitive workforce for a market economy. During this period, the content, curriculum, and methodology of education were reorganized, and a network of new types of educational institutions, such as lyceums and gymnasiums, was established.
