This article presents the interrelationship between time and space in Theodore Dreiser's Sister Carrie and Zulfiya Qurolboy's Oyimtilla, as well as their impact on people’s lives. In Dreiser's Sister Carrie, the society of late 19th and early 20th-century America is depicted, showing how the challenges of life and success shape human thought and existence. In Zulfiya Qurolboy's Oyimtilla, the specific characteristics of Uzbek society, family relationships, and the historical and social context of a woman's struggle to find her place in society are revealed. These works serve as important sources for understanding the complexities of life in their respective times and spaces, as well as the inner world of humans. The article analyzes both novels from the perspective of time and space, highlighting their unique features and showing the parallels and differences between the two works.
