This article focuses on the historical development of archaisms and historicisms in the Uzbek language lexicon and their usage in literary works. The study analyzes the etymology and semantic features of archaisms and historicisms, as well as their role in classical Uzbek literature. Based on examples from the works of Alisher Navoi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, Abdulhamid Cholpon, and other writers, the article examines the semantic shifts and aesthetic functions of archaic and historical words. The research is of great significance in preserving and studying the historical richness of the Uzbek language lexicon and contributes to research in the fields of linguistics, literary studies, and cultural studies.
