This scientific article explores the modern understanding of the concept in linguistics, discussing the opinions and reports of foreign and Uzbek linguists, as well as various theoretical approaches and scholars' perspectives on the interpretation of the concept. It examines the features of cognitive analysis of linguistic units. Additionally, reflections on syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic analysis are presented.
