Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the harmony between national history and elements of folklore in the works of American writer Washington Irving. The focus is on the artistic expression of folk tales, legends, and national historical thinking in his famous works such as Rip Van Winkle and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The article explores how the writer relied on oral folklore to shape national identity and how he portrayed real historical events through artistic imagery, using the IMRAD format for analysis.
