The article examines the linguodidactic aspects of interlingual interference in teaching Russian as a foreign language to Uzbek-speaking learners. It analyzes the main types of interference errors caused by differences between the Uzbek and Russian languages and identifies their underlying causes at the phonetic, lexical, and grammatical levels. Particular attention is paid to methodological approaches aimed at overcoming interference and developing learners’ communicative competence. The study proposes effective pedagogical strategies designed to minimize the negative influence of the native language.
