The article analyzes innovative technologies for activating cognitive activity when teaching Russian in groups with the Uzbek language of instruction in universities of Uzbekistan and their role in improving the professional and personal development of new generation specialists. The article examines the basic characteristics of these methods. In modern conditions, a teacher is required who is able to organize an innovative educational process, non-traditional independent educational and professional activities of students - with the main priority being the personality of the subject of education, its formation.
