This article provides a scholarly analysis of Abul Mu'in al-Nasafi's work, "Al-Tamhid li-Qawa'id al-Tawhid", examining its exposition of the Maturidi creed and its refutations of various misguided sects. The article is based on conclusions regarding the source-critical significance of "Al-Tamhid" within Maturidism and the polemical-refutational style present in the work. The study shows that the work presents an orderly and systematic exposition of creedal issues such as tawhid (divine unity), divine attributes, kalām (theology), irāda (will), takwīn (creation), qadar (predestination), īmān (faith), and tanzīh (transcendence). It also reveals al-Nasafi's characteristic of harmoniously employing both rational and scriptural evidence in his arguments against movements such as the Sufastaiyya, Mu'tazila, Karramiyya, Mushabbiha, and Mujassima. The article assesses "Al-Tamhid" as a vital source for studying the Maturidi creed, scientifically substantiating the views of the Ahl al-Sunnah, and forming an evidence-based approach to matters of faith.
