Teaching English speaking skills in Uzbekistan presents ongoing challenges. Many students struggle to communicate naturally despite years of study. This research examines how Project-Based Learning helps students develop better speaking abilities through hands-on, collaborative work. Based on direct classroom observation and analysis of students’ work, the findings show that project activities encourage genuine language use. Students who participate in projects demonstrate improved fluency and a greater willingness to speak English. These activities also help bridge the gap between textbook exercises and everyday communication needs.
