The article examines science as a strategic resource for the development of New Uzbekistan in the context of technological and innovation transformation. It analyzes key challenges facing the scientific sector, including the low attractiveness of research careers, administrative barriers, the imbalance between the quantity and quality of publications, and insufficient integration of science with the economy and business. Drawing on the experience of leading global universities, the author proposes directions for building a modern research ecosystem and strengthening the role of science in sustainable national development.
