This article examines the role of digital forensics as a system-forming instrument in the practical implementation of legislative initiatives aimed at combating cybercrime, approved by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in March 2026. Based on an analysis of the current legislation, the author substantiates the need for comprehensive forensic support for the new legal norms. Particular attention is given to evidentiary issues in cases involving the use of cryptocurrency wallets and electronic payment instruments for criminal purposes. Specific proposals are formulated for the development of the methodological framework of digital forensics in accordance with international standards.
