This article examines the organizational and legal foundations of lawyer specialization in the Republic of Uzbekistan. It analyzes the constitutional and legislative foundations of advocacy, the stages of reforming the institution of the bar, and the organizational and legal forms of advocacy. Particular attention is paid to the independence of the bar, the role of the Chamber of Advocates of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the importance of lawyer specialization in providing qualified legal assistance. The author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of various forms of advocacy, as well as modern trends in the development of the institution of advocacy in the context of digitalization and judicial and legal reforms.
