The theoretical and applied aspects of evaluating the effectiveness of strategic investment decisions are examined. The differences between strategic, tactical, and current investment decisions are characterized, and the content of efficiency in long-term investment choice is clarified. Modern evaluation methods are considered, including capital budgeting, scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis, a multicriteria approach, and the assessment of project managerial flexibility. It is established that current evaluation practice relies on a combination of financial and non-financial criteria, while the final decision is determined not by a single calculated indicator but by a system of interrelated procedures. It is found that particular importance is attached to project resilience under uncertainty, the organizational context of decision-making, and the possibility of adjusting the investment trajectory. It is revealed that the effectiveness of strategic investments is determined by the quality of capital allocation, the strategic consistency of the project, and its manageability in a changing environment.
