This article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of victimological analysis of domestic crime. The necessity of including the victim's personality and behavior in the system of criminological research and crime prevention is substantiated. The concepts of victimhood and victimization, their levels, forms, and dynamics are analyzed, and the content of the "offender - victim" relationship as an element of the domestic crime mechanism is revealed. Particular attention is paid to victimogenic situations, repeated and increased victimization, and the role of social environment in the formation of persistent victim behavior. It is concluded that targeted preventive influence on potential victims is a necessary condition for increasing the effectiveness of preventing domestic crimes.
