Annotatsiya

This study examines the biological and ethnographic characteristics of plants native to Karakalpakstan, including camel thorn (Alhagi spp.), mulberry (Morus spp.), narrow-leaved oleaster (Elaeagnus angustifolia), and reed (Phragmites australis). Their morphological, physiological, and adaptive properties are analyzed, along with their uses in agriculture, medicine, construction, and culture. It is shown that resistance to drought, salinity, and extreme temperatures has determined their ethnographic and economic applications. The study demonstrates the integration of traditional knowledge and modern scientific data, emphasizing the role of plants as resources for food, crafts, pharmacology, and the sustainability of regional ecosystems.
