This article highlights the main stages in the history of foreign language education in post-independence Uzbekistan. It focuses on analyzing the renewal of the educational process and methodological approaches, rather than educational policies. Based on available sources, the article explains changes in language selection, inter-institutional collaboration, textbooks, and assessment standards.
