This article examines the legal grounds for and the necessity of the participation of internal affairs bodies in civil law relations. The author argues that the activities of internal affairs bodies cannot be limited solely to the exercise of public authority functions, since property-related needs and the management of state property objectively require their involvement in civil circulation. The article analyzes the legal status of internal affairs bodies as subjects of civil law, their organizational and legal form, and the specific features of their participation in civil law relations as state institutions. Based on an analysis of current legislation and scholarly sources, the necessity of clear legal regulation governing the participation of internal affairs bodies in civil law relations is substantiated.
