The article examines judicial practice in the field of legal protection of foreign students in the Republic of Uzbekistan through the analysis of a single civil case concerning a challenge to tuition fee conditions. The study demonstrates that, despite the formal compliance of contractual arrangements with national legislation, judicial decisions reveal tensions with the state’s international obligations relating to non-discrimination in education. Institutional gaps in judicial and administrative mechanisms for the protection of foreign students’ rights are identified, primarily resulting from the insufficient implementation of international legal standards. On the basis of this case study, a model for improving legal protection is substantiated, incorporating legislative initiatives, administrative procedures, and informational support measures. In this context, the prospects of applying to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan to assess the conformity of existing legal norms with the Constitution and international obligations are evaluated.
