The article examines the main directions and forms of cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and international organizations in the preservation, restoration, and promotion of historical and cultural heritage. It analyzes Uzbekistan’s engagement with UNESCO, ISESCO, ICCROM, the World Bank, the European Union, and other institutions that support the protection of cultural assets. Special attention is given to the implementation of international projects aimed at restoring architectural monuments in Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Shakhrisabz—all included on the UNESCO World Heritage List—as well as to the development of educational programs and the training of specialists in restoration and museology. Based on an analysis of specific cases, the article concludes that international cooperation plays a key role in shaping the country’s contemporary cultural policy and integrating Uzbekistan into the global cultural space.
