This article examines domestic violence as a multifaceted social and legal phenomenon that threatens human rights and freedoms. It explores the main forms of violence - physical, psychological, sexual, and economic - as well as their consequences for victims and society as a whole. The study analyzes the legal framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan, including recent innovations such as the criminalization of domestic violence. Special attention is given to international standards for protecting the rights of women and children, as well as mechanisms for implementing these standards in national legislation.
