The article examines the theoretical and practical aspects of the legal protection of geographical indications. It analyzes the place of geographical indications within the system of civil law objects, as well as the procedures for their registration, protection, and enforcement against infringements. Particular attention is paid to the specific features of national legislation governing the protection of geographical indications and its compliance with international legal standards. The study identifies key challenges in law enforcement practice and proposes scientific and practical recommendations aimed at improving legal regulation in this field.
