The article examines the features and prospects of regional economic cooperation in Central Asia in the context of globalization. It analyzes the evolution of integration processes in the post-Soviet space and the role of international regional organizations in shaping new forms of economic interaction. Particular attention is paid to the participation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in integration initiatives and to assessing the potential economic and institutional implications of the country’s possible accession to the Eurasian Economic Union. The study considers both the potential benefits of integration—such as expanded market access, increased investment flows, and labor mobility—and the associated risks to national economic stability and sovereignty. The paper reflects the position of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who has emphasized that deeper economic cooperation must be accompanied by improvements in the competitiveness and quality of national products in line with international standards. It is argued that domestic reforms implemented within the framework of the “New Uzbekistan” development strategy contribute to reshaping regional dynamics and promoting Central Asia as a zone of stability, sustainable development, and constructive cooperation.
