Today, the analysis of state legal policy is increasingly becoming a subject of scientific research across various fields of knowledge, including legal studies. This article provides a comprehensive examination of the theoretical aspects of the concept of state legal policy, its place and functional significance in public administration, as well as its relationship with general state policy. The study highlights the role of legal policy within the system of state policy as its primary subject of analysis. The author considers state legal policy as encompassing both the legal ideology of the state and its practical activities. A systemic approach, along with logical and analytical methods, is applied as the methodological basis of the research. In particular, the article offers an in-depth analysis of the main directions of state legal policy. The scientific works of several scholars are used as a foundation, and their views and conceptual approaches are presented. The conclusions emphasize that a distinctive feature of legal policy is its coherence with legal documents and the functions of public administration, which contributes to transforming state legal policy into an independent and leading branch within the legal system. Furthermore, the study thoroughly examines the problems and shortcomings that arise in the process of implementing state legal policy and develops a set of practical proposals and recommendations for their effective resolution.
