This article analyzes the role and significance of regional international organizations in modern international relations. It highlights the formation of regional integration processes, their role in ensuring international peace and security, and mechanisms of cooperation with the United Nations. Using the examples of the Council of Europe, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and ASEAN, the article examines the goals, institutional structure, and areas of activity of regional international organizations.
