This article analyzes the modernization trends observed in the process of updating Grade 5 music culture textbooks used in general education schools. Competency-based education, the integration of national and world musical heritage, interactive methods, the use of resources created with modern technologies, and approaches aimed at developing students’ creative potential are examined.
