This article analyzes the institution of early termination of parliamentary mandates within the system of public authority of the Republic of Uzbekistan as a key element of the constitutional-legal mechanism of accountability and legality. It examines the evolution of legal regulation, the constitutional and legislative framework, and their practical implementation by the Central Election Commission and local councils (Kengashes). Special attention is given to international standards set by the Venice Commission, OSCE/ODIHR, and the European Court of Human Rights, which underpin legal guarantees for mandate termination. The study concludes that early termination of powers is not a political sanction but a legal instrument that ensures democratic responsibility and constitutional stability. The author proposes legislative improvements based on greater transparency, enhanced judicial oversight, and strengthened ethical standards for deputies.
