This article analyzes the socio-economic development of rural areas in the Andijan region during the 1960s–1980s based on archival sources and statistical data. It examines the evolution of agriculture, trade and service sectors, education and cultural institutions, and the formation of social infrastructure. The study also explores the impact of Soviet modernization policies on rural life and their social consequences.
