The existence of effective public administration is an important condition for maintaining and improving the quality of life around the world. Its flexibility and dynamism lie at the heart of the state's ability to meet the needs and expectations of its citizens. In this perspective, the author examines the dynamics of poverty in Uzbekistan. The relevance of this issue is that poverty has become a concrete brake on the socio-economic development of the regions, determining the limited access of a certain part of the country's population to quality healthcare, education, decent wages and living standards. Despite the existence of strategic development programs in the administrative, social, economic and political spheres, the norms of which somehow “collide at this crossroads” of public administration, the issue of poverty reduction is still relevant and is outlined in the national strategy 2030. Based on the study of the retrospective approach to the main provisions of the causes of poverty and the analysis of modern developments in foreign and domestic research in this scientific field, the author concludes that there is a need for a systematic approach to the development of state policy to reduce poverty.
