This article provides a description of innovative methods used in technical universities of Uzbekistan to teach Russian as a foreign language and discusses the features of its teaching as well. The article also presents suggestions for effective prevention of problems that students may encounter in the first year of studying at a university. The main focus is on the introduction of modern technologies that promote more interactive interaction between students and teachers, as well as focusing on the interests of students, taking into account their individual characteristics.
