The article examines the concept of “economic violence,” which first appeared in the expression “economic violence” in the late 1950s. The definition developed by the United Nations is analyzed. Arguments are given to understand the dominance over a woman's ability to acquire, use, and maintain financial resources, threatening her financial stability and independence.
