This work is devoted to comparing the efficiency of the traction electric drive system of electric trains in operation in the Tashkent metro. The purpose of the study is to determine the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for the electric traction drive system. The work examines the following factors: energy efficiency, reliability and availability, technical characteristics, economic aspects and environmental sustainability. The analysis is carried out by comparing different electric traction drive systems, taking into account their energy efficiency, reliability, technical characteristics, economic costs and environmental sustainability. The results of the study will allow us to identify the most optimal and efficient options for the traction electric drive system for the Tashkent metro, taking into account its unique requirements and operating conditions. This can lead to increased energy efficiency, reduced operating costs and improved environmental sustainability of the electric traction drive system. The work has practical significance for the organization and modernization of the Tashkent metro, and can also serve as the basis for making informed decisions when choosing a traction electric drive system in other metros.
