Annotatsiya

This article discusses the development of cast iron brake pads that prevent damage to the working surfaces of locomotive wheel pair tires. The value of the brake pad-to bandage coefficient depends on the material from which it is made, the speed of the train, its specific pressure on the bandage, the condition of the rubbing surfaces of the pad and bandage, the shape and method of its manufacture. The UzTE16M diesel locomotive tire was used as an example for the methodology.
