The article examines three key issues in disciplinary proceedings against advocates before qualification commissions in Uzbekistan: timely access to case materials, the requirement to provide reasoned decisions, and proportionality in the selection of disciplinary sanctions. It proposes ensuring access to case materials before consideration of the case on the merits, establishing mandatory requirements for the content and reasoning of decisions, and requiring specific justification when a more severe disciplinary sanction is sought.
