This article analyzes the territorial characteristics of non-governmental non-profit organizations (NGOs) in the Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions of the Fergana Valley from historical-statistical and institutional perspectives. The study examines the early organizational forms of NGOs in the valley, open data from regional justice departments, changes in the composition of NGOs in the Namangan region between 2022 and 2026, the regional implementation of the “Houses of Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organizations” system, and the financing mechanism through the Public Fund in the Andijan region. Drawing on examples of regional projects, the article also highlights various areas of NGO specialization and substantiates the need to shift from merely counting the number of NGOs to assessing indicators of their actual activity.
